Taste11 at Anuga

The fair spotlights new products, innovative trends and future-oriented concepts. The Taste11 special show serves as a trend barometer for the buyers and a source of momentum for the global food business. This is where visitors can see an overview of the top new products at Anuga 2011 selected by an international jury of trade journalists.

More than 500 companies with over 1 200 ideas competed to be included in the special show and the accompanying Taste11 catalogue. These products are on show in an attractive exhibition in the northern section of the Boulevard. The catalogue accompanying the exhibition is available online (www.anuga.com).

The jury selected a total of 54 products and concepts that were impressive by virtue of their underlying ideas, innovative character and creative applications – taken from all ten of Anuga's specialised trade shows. In addition to evaluating the quality and originality of the entries, the jury took into account the criteria of packaging use, user-friendliness, the recipe and visual appeal.

Because many of the products presented at Anuga in Cologne were not designed only for the German or European markets, the range of products is correspondingly broad and fully covers all the international trends. It includes, above all, products that meet high health and safety standards, target group-specific products such as those meant for children, convenience items, products from companies operating under appropriate animal husbandry conditions, organic products and sustainability concepts.
