Ciro Beverage Solutions has introduced a green package to their range aimed at corporate and hospitality clients in South Africa.
The finishing touch is the launch of the Wegaconcept Green Line espresso machine, which aims to guarantee energy saving, consistency in every cup as well as flexibility and versatility for the operator.
The Wegaconcept boasts an innovative hydraulic system with electronic temperature control, translating into a 30% energy saving feature when compared to traditional coffee machines that not only benefits the environment but also equates to reduced running costs for the owner.
The customised software records daily work patterns and automatically switches to standby mode during periods of low consumption and activates again during busy stages.
Moreover the ideal temperature facility ensures that the first cup of coffee on start-up is ready at the ideal temperature within minutes.
First to market the exciting new concept is Kauai, South Africa’s number one health food restaurant. They will be opening a store at the new Virgin Active Classic Health Club at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. The Wegaconcept has a significantly reduced carbon footprint, which coincides with Kauai’s philosophy of ‘eat better, live better’.
“The KAUAI experience is defined by the ALOHA spirit of the Hawaiian islands – it governs our attitude towards others, it guides the way we treat our customers, it’s the source of our values and is the foundation of our brand. As stewardship is one of our one of core values, we are committed to respecting and caring for the environment, and thus the first energy saving eco-machine from the ‘Green Line’ series was a natural choice for our new store”, Diane St Clair Moor, KAUAI Chief Marketing Officer.
In conjunction with the Wegaconcept Green Line espresso machine, which is available in two, three and four group options, Ciro has also recently introduced a biodegradable takeaway cup, which reduces environmental waste. This complements Ciro’s Caffe Organo organic coffee blend, which was launched in 2009 and provides the market with a sweet, fruity, smooth choice with South African Organic certifying agency, Ecocert-Afrisco’s certification of approval.
Ciro’s environmentally friendly package allows consumers to comply with a green alternative without comprising on the quality they have come to expect from the coffee experience.
