As someone said to me, it feels like the entire food industry is waiting for the moment to explode onto the scene as soon as the economy starts recovering. Everyone takes such pride in their country’s goods and, while innovation is perhaps not top of mind this year, the amount that the world has to offer is staggering.

In the interests of keeping you up to date on fashion at Anuga (for the fashionistas among us), black suits and very brightly coloured stockings are in. Developed some nasty blisters yesterday so am wearing white takkies (yes, horrific with my – wait for it - black suit) and I stand out like a sore thumb.
