Ishida Europe has launched an enhanced version of its weigher for the handling of granular products, which can be easily damaged by auger or volumetric cup fillers.
The new range of high speed cut-gate weighers feature a newly designed weigh-hopper that minimises the discharge time of the weighed product, without spillage, along with an enhanced cut-gate mechanism, to improve product feeding, and a three times faster processing capability. These features deliver even faster weighing speeds, up to 30 weighments per minute per head depending on product type, whilst being gentle and accurate.
The cut-gate weigher offers precise weighing for all types of granular products such as detergents, freeze-dried coffee, tea and other drink granules, sugar, salt and couscous. Ishida says, the weigher is three times more accurate than conventional filling or dosing systems.
This is achieved owing to Ishida's accurate load cell and high-speed feedback control system. In addition the servomotor-powered gate offers a gentle but precise opening and closing profile which ensures controlled product feeding to preserve particle size and structure as well as significantly reducing dust emissions.
The cut-gate weigher is easy to operate enabling quick product changeovers, minimising downtime. Its dustproof construction features weighing components that are enclosed in an easily detachable cover. A sealed enclosure for gas flushing is also available.
This new range comprises ten different models tailored to meet specific requirements in terms of product, pack and line.
