Flint Group’s acquisition enables expansion of its African business

The Flint Group recently announced the latest expansion to its African business with the acquisition of the remaining shares in Continental Printing Inks and Eagle Ink Systems. The group became the sole owner of the entity on 24 October.

In September 2015, Flint Group Africa was formed through a joint venture combining two of the leading ink and coating suppliers to the packaging and print media markets in South Africa.

‘The management is extremely pleased with the growth we have seen in South Africa since our partnership with Continental and Eagle Ink Systems started in late 2015.  I credit this success to the employees of Continental, Eagle and Flint Group,’ comments Doug Aldred, president of Flint Group Packaging.

He says throughout the transition, a combined team of experts were dedicated to providing unmatched support to customers in the region.

‘Continued best in class service and highest quality products have remained our top priority.  As a result of this collaboration, we have already realised new business opportunities and have expanded our position in South Africa.’

Flint Group Africa is the largest ink supplier in South Africa with local manufacturing sites in Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town.

With a strong emphasis on customer and technical service, the entity has been able to deliver exceptional value and quality to printers and converters throughout the region.
