Approximately 1 600 exhibitors will be taking part in this year’s drinktec exhibition. The show will take place from 11 to 15 September 2017 in Munich, Germany. With the integration of SIMEI, a leading trade fair for winemaking and bottling technology, total hall space has increased to 150 000m2.
Exhibitors represent the entire process chain: from manufacturing, filling and packaging of beverage and liquid food through to marketing raw materials, beverage ingredients and logistics solutions.
Innovation showcase and spectacular displays
The show is recognised as a platform for innovation. Latest solutions and entire systems will be launched. This is one of the unique selling points of the show. The trade fair is renowned for spectacular displays, and emulates fully functioning industrial beverage plants. Additions to the show include SIMEI. This section creates a globally unique platform for the international wine industry, covering the wine and beer industry.
Drinktec will also share the stage with oils+fats, Europe’s only trade fair for the oils and fats industry. Fifty exhibitors will be presenting their systems, components and auxiliary materials for the production and processing of edible oils, fats and lubricants. Raw materials and quality control solutions are also under display.
It is estimated that over 70 000 trade visitors will visit the show. Attendees are offered the opportunity of seeing innovations in the entire beverage and liquid food industry. Trade professionals from the soft drinks and juice industry; brewing; mineral water produces; wineries, dairies, wine and sparkling wine, and the spirits industry will be on top form and bring you the latest from the industry.
Supporting programme highlights
Special area new beverage concepts – manufacturers of sweeteners, colourants, ingredients, additives and flavourings, treatment agents and recipes will present new products and solutions. Product developers and brand managers can try new ingredients and beverage concepts, while searching for new flavours.
Innovation flow lounge – Experts discuss topical themes on the future of the industry in areas of product innovation, packaging and marketing. Based on an interactive concept with various action modules, such as the Beverage Innovation Bar.
drinktec Forum – independent experts from research and industry will give answers and present pioneering approaches and practical solutions. The focus is on technology, production processes and automation.
place2beer – find out about the latest qualities in hops, malt and yeast. Successful brewers tell their stories and present beers at a live tasting. Start-ups will present innovative ideas to the international trade audience. Panel discussion on themes such as food and beer, women and beer, popular styles of beer, packaging and branding is in the spotlight.
