Boxmore Packaging’s Ina Paarman dressing bottle design has been recognised by the International Union of Food Science and Technology’s (IUFoST) Global Food Industry Awards. The product won first place in the packaging innovation category.
The Ina Paarman Foods ‘easy pour’ design was launched in July 2015. It has received an overwhelming positive response from consumers.
The old two-piece closure was replaced with a new, single piece flip top closure for the new polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle design. The flip top closure, embossed with the Ina Paarman logo, allows easy pouring of the product. The introduction of a tamper evident induction seal means a more stable shelf life.
In addition, vibrant impactful photography was used to create the label. The label is indicative of dressing variants, which alongside the shorter bottle and wider base, means there is an improvement of shelf presence.
IUFoST aims to support more efficient and environmentally sustainable food production, processing and packaging.
The Global Food Industry Award recognises the creative work of food innovators globally. The event features three categories. These are product and/or process innovation; package innovation, and communicating science-related knowledge to consumers. The latter is aimed at improving consumers’ lifestyles.
