Almost 9 000 people flocked to Africa’s Big Seven (AB7) Expo at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from 15-17 July 2012 to investigate what 304 manufacturers and producers from 42 countries in Africa and around the world had to offer the continent’s food and beverage industry. ‘AB7 has grown considerably in sheer volume, with many repeat exhibitors being joined by even more newcomers. Exhibitors are taking more floor space and building bigger and more elaborate display stands,’ stated John Thomson of show organiser, Exhibition Management Services. ‘The show again proved the incredible value of face-to-face contact with potential clients and the importance of being seen; and itself as an effective means of establishing new business contacts and finding new customers, especially from other countries in Africa.’
