Climate change, water shortage, higher energy prices, crop diseases and a rapidly expanding population. These are all factors that are making it increasingly difficult and risky for farmers and governments to ensure the world has enough to eat (The Media Line). As such, Food Security 2012 will focus on the fundamentals of agribusiness and understanding the global food and agricultural commodities market; as well as understanding risks, mitigating against risks and growing sustainable development and investment.  The conference, to be held on 18-22 June 2012 at The Wanderers Club, Illovo, Johannesburg, will be the first of its kind to draw analysis and debate from a wide range of topics presented by various different parties and sectors.
