The National Consumer Commission (NCC) has issued a recall for Made 4 Tots Corn Puffs Chicken 12g. This recall follows the detection of non-pathogenic Listeria in one specific batch of the product.
Why was the product recalled?
The affected batch, identified as batch number 396194 (MGF 03.03.26; Lot 6:003; Best Before 02.03.2027), was found to contain non-pathogenic Listeria. While this type of Listeria is not harmful, the recall is a precautionary measure to ensure consumer safety.
A total of 1,152 units were impacted:
- 348 units were sold.
- 804 units were removed from shelves.
The product was sold at Clicks stores, Clicks Online, and distributed to Lesotho. Consumers are advised not to consume the product. Instead, return it to any Clicks store for a full refund or replacement. Proof of purchase is not required for the return. The NCC is closely monitoring the recall process under the Consumer Protection Act to ensure compliance and consumer safety.
