Manuchar announces the acquisition of CJP Chemicals, strengthening its chemical distribution network in South Africa.

Manuchar, a leading distributor of chemicals in high-growth marketsheadquartered in Antwerp, Belgium, announces it has reached an agreement to acquire CJP Chemicals, one of South Africa’s most established chemical distributors. This strategic acquisition marks an important step in Manuchar’s ambition to strengthen its footprint in South Africa and expand its global chemical distribution platform across high-growth regions.

About the acquisition

Founded in 1986, CJP Chemicals is a recognised leader in South Africa’s chemical distribution market. The company serves industries such as food & beverages, lubricants & energy, industrial manufacturing, personal care, and pharmaceuticals. With operations in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, and Gqeberha, CJP Chemicals generates over USD 100 million annually.

Manuchar, headquartered in Antwerp, Belgium, operates in over 40 countries and employs 3,000 people globally. The acquisition aligns with Manuchar’s strategy to broaden its product portfolio and deepen its regional coverage in high-growth markets.
