Amcor packaging innovations at Fachpack 2025 demonstrated their expertise in delivering sustainable, functional, and aesthetic solutions.

Held in Nuremberg, Germany (23-25 September), Amcor’s display highlighted reusable cups, lightweight containers, and cutting-edge films, emphasising their commitment to responsible packaging. The range of products on display demonstrated the company’s ability to devise tailored solutions to meet the many different requirements of brands in food, non-food and industrial markets, combining aesthetics and functionality whilst helping companies to meet and exceed their sustainability goals.
Highlights on the stand included Amcor’s recently launched range of reusable cups and lids; light weighted food containers; latest closure innovations, including a new flip top closure for sauces; containers with recycled plastic and enhanced recyclability; and a wide selection of films for primary, secondary and tertiary packaging. Amcor also showcased its proprietary CleanStream® technology – its domestically recovered, mechanically recycled polypropylene (PP) for contact-sensitive, homecare and industrial applications.
Flexible packaging for multiple market needs
“Sustainability remained a major consideration for companies in all their packaging developments, but at the same time, elements such as functionality, consumer convenience, aesthetics and branding were also essential requirements,” said Philipp Richter, sales director Food Central Europe for Amcor Rigid Packaging Solutions International. “Fachpack provided an excellent opportunity to focus on the many ways we could support our customers in the creation of packaging solutions across a diverse range of markets.”
Amcor’s new reusable cups range met increasing demand for alternative solutions to single-use packaging. Ideal for both on-site and takeaway requirements, the cups combined reusability with a premium quality feel and high-impact branding opportunities. They were dishwasher safe, lightweight but exceptionally durable, and could be recycled when they finally reached their end of life, where appropriate recycling facilities existed.
Flexible packaging for multiple market needs
From an extensive closure range that included a variety of flat caps and sports closures from 26mm to 48mm, Amcor showcased the new Modena Flip Top TE (tamper-evident) closure, which was designed to offer a versatile and more sustainable closure for vinegar, sauces and dressings. Its lightweight mono material construction delivered improved recyclability, whilst the TE feature was seamlessly integrated within the flip-top lid.
This allowed easy one-handed actuation where the TE tabs were captured within the closure body after opening to avoid littering. Available in a variety of orifice sizes, the Modena provided controlled pouring for maximum consumer convenience. Other closure innovations on display included the lightweight Sava Flip Top, ideal for sauces and dressings, and the Sunny and Pical Pouring closures, developed for edible oils and featuring a variety of orifice sizes and styles to suit different product characteristics.
